Realist portrait artist Emmanuel Boateng studied fine art at one of the most prestigous art colleges in africa Ghanatta college of Art and Design and continued to establish himself as an artist by working in the print media industy ,starting out as a cartoonist with a National newspaperin Ghana (Public Agenda) and later moving on to become a cartoon illustrator with his own publication Boat Comics in 1998.
 

Emmanuel Boateng attended Art College and graduated with degree in fine Art and moved on to study portraiture art. He later joined a design company specialising in media work and Graphic design and he was responsible for caricatures and cartoon illustrations for the firm. He later moved on to working in print media precisely newspapers where he worked as a cartoonist depicting true likeness of characters like politicians and other famous personalities.

He has participated in major international art competitions and he became recognised for his unique style and artistic abilities through his work mostly portraiture art. He has achieved numerous awards the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru price in painting and he has also gained membership to various groups including the freedom Forum, Cartoonists rights network (CRN) and he is also a member of Portsmouth and Hampshire Art society www.portshantsart.org.uk.
